So today was my first official run. I figured, I have a couple of months left and I havent even started. Probably, not a good idea, so I started. It was after a long day of work. For those of you who don't know, I work outside at a wildlife rehabilitation facility (no easy task). After realeasing a snapping turtle back into the wild I came home, quickly changed and grabbed my roomates dog Daisy. She, like me, is out of shape. So we started to walk, then got a nice phone call from my dad then around 1 mile, we started jogging. I always keep a point in my head so I know howlong I can jog then walk for a bit. We jogged about 2 miles, and walked the rest. Towards the end of the jog I saw a rainbow, missed the rain, and saw two sandhill cranes!! So, I was only supposed to go 3 miles today, but i did 4.45 (walk/jog) so I figured it's okay since it wasnt just running 3 miles. Tomorrow is only two, and I am thinking of waking up before work to run those two. Hopefully I will be less tired, less humid outside and get more endurance :) I always forget how good it feels to run after I run!!! Hopefully this keeps up!
Teams are made up of individuals. Without them, there is no team.
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
