...how many of you will read this but I wanted to thank you all for your support. Not only did I exceed my fundraising goal (only thanks to you!) but I beat my PR by nearly three minutes. Thanks again to all of you! YOU ROCK!!

Hello All!! I thank each and every one of your for your support. If you are visiting this page and have not yet donated, I encourage you to support this incredible cause! This site is not about me but about what you and I can do together FOR all those that need our help. Tomorrow I begin training officially as part of the Team! So, even though I don't technically need donations right away, I would really like to meet my goal quickly so I can focus on training. If you have a loved one who has either battled or is currently battling a blood cancer, please let me know! I will be thrilled to train and complete the marathon in their honor! I will write their name on a bracelet and keep it with me for the entire training period and the race - it's quite the motivator for me and reminds me why I'm doing this. GO TEAM!

I had the privelage of listening to one of our Honored Teammates speak yesterday. The excruciating pain, both emotional and physical, the enormous cost, the threat of losing a spouse or a child is something no one should ever go through. As his tee shirt read, "Cancer Sucks." Amen brother. Please support me in this fight against cancer.

I have only scratched the surface in my training and my fundraising, yet I am finding more and more people who have been affected by blood cancers. It makes training easier and helps me to be more resilient in the face of the numerous challenges of fundraising. I can only hope that I will face the coming months (or years, if I am to continue with this wonderful work for the long term) with the same courage as my Honored Teammates! We are all family and there is no work more important than that of helping our brothers and sisters.

Today was the beginning of pre-training. I will be SO glad when it's not so hot. I'm tired, but it's a good tired!
