Well, I have 12 more days to go and $816 left to fundraise. It's getting a little scary at this point. I don't know if I am going to be able to make it. So many great people have helped me out to get me to this point, and I want each and everyone of you to know that I appreciate it even more than you will ever know.
It has been a long road to where I am now in life, and it has been filled with so many ups and downs and so much joy and also sadness. I just hope that one day that sadness won't be because of the loss of another life to cancer.
Please make a donation today!! Help me Stand up and make a difference in the world. Help me Fight against Cancer.
That's about all that is left for me to reach my goal. Well this goal anyways. I sit back and think about all that I have been through over the years, My own battle with cancer, the struggle to get healthy again, going through the guilt of being a survivor when there are so many others around me losing their battle with this horrible disease. It's been a long hard road.
Even though it's been hard for me, I am drawn to the fact that it is so much harder for so many others. God let me breathe another day on this earth for a reason, no for a purpose. I am 100% sure that His purpose for me is to give back however I can. I can't donate a ton of money pesonally, as i know that many of you reading this right now can't either, but I can donate my time, I can become a better person everyday.
I choose to do that my pushing myself to finish the Nike 1/2 Marathon in October, then the Wine & Dine 1/2 Marathon in November, and who knows maybe even go back to where it all started and do the WDW Marathon Weekend 1/2 Marathon again. Ya never know where the road will take you.
What I do know is that I will push myself through every one of those long 13.1 miles because of some great people who have lost their battle. For Christian a little boy I never had the pleasure of meeting in person because he was taken too young, but thanks to his dad I have come to know him and be inspired. For Lily a 5 year old little girl who i only had the pleasure of meeting through post on facebook by my dear friend Angi and Lily's mom Melinda. For Jean a grandmother, mother and wife that lived many great years but cancer took her in the end. I will push to honor the memory of these fine people.
I will also push to honor some very special people who are fighting right now. For Talia, a 13 year old girl who is in the mist of battling 2 agressive types of cancer yet still lives life to the fullest and for Jacob (aka The Leukemia Slayer) another fine young man who lives life with a cancer out in the open so that others can see what it is like.
These people are all inspiring to me and I feel that I need to do this for them!!
So please help me honor these and so many more. Help me reach my goal in the nest 22 days. DONATE TODAY!!!
NO AMOUNT IS EVER TOO SMALL.
Together we train to beat cancer. So that one day there will be a cure!
24 days...that's all I have left to raise the remaining $1000 needed to reach my goal. I am so nervous. I really need to make this goal. not for me, I'm going to do this marathon whether I collect the money or not. This is for the patients. For the families, for those who can not get out there and walk the miles I have walked.
Please consider making a donatio today!!! NO amount is ever too small. Help me help someone else.

Yesterday my TEAM put on a Bowl a thon to raise money for LLS. It was a great event. Everyone pulled together and had a little fun while still remembering why we are raising money on the first place. It was a great day. I will be putting up photos soon.
Johnny Magic from XL106.7 came by to show his support and it was nice to get the chance to talk to him for a little while. He is an amazing man with a big heart. We really appreciated that he took some time out of his busy day to spend with us.
One of the questions he asked many of us was what do we think about when you are out there walking or running all those miles? When I got home last night I really started thinking about that more. When I did my first half at Disney, I I must admit I spent a lot of time talking to myself in my head. You can do this, you are crazy, what the hell did you get yourself into...Thank goodness Coach Rich is here helping me through this.. where is Deb..I don't want to loose her we need to finish together.. OH NO !! Coach Laura will be up at the next mile somewhere I better swing my arms and stop talking...lol but the thing that really got me through wasd thinking about a little boy named Christian that lost him battle with Leukemia, and how brave he must have been to go through such a rough thing. About his Dad and how hard it had to have been for him. How musch I admired Rick for the person that he is even after loosing something as precious as his son. I thought about all the other patients that have lost there battle, the ones who are still fighting the battle, and the ones who have WON the battle. I thought about my own battle with cancer. Of how very far I have come and how it effected my family. When every muscle in my body hurt, I remembered what I was out there doing it for. TO BEAT CANCER. When I crossed that finish line every thought came rushing back, and it hit me not that I had finished, but that in a small way I took a good hard PUNCH at cancer and knocked it down a notch.
Now as I struggle to raise the money needed to make it to Nike, I am again reminded of how small I am against this beast. But with the help of my friends, family, and strangers I don't even know I WILL make it there and I WILL make it through my first FULL Marathon, and again I will tahnk God that Rich is there with me, and the Laura will be up around the corner somewhere making sure my arms are swinging, anf My TEAM will be around me somewhere. BUT, mostly I will be thinking of all those affected by cancer, and how of they can fight it, I can cross the finish line. 26.2 miles is such a small distance comepared to a life saved.
SO PLEASE HELP!!! Make a donation today click that button right over threre---------->
Much Love

Here is a photo of some of the TEAM for Nike. This is only about half of us.
I had a great time this past Sunday. I had the chance to meet some great people at the Orlando Toy & Comic Con. It wass awesome getting the chance to meet a few people that have the Marathon bug just like I do, and well as some potential future runners. I just can't seem to express how great Team in Training is and how it really will change your life.
One of the highlights of the day was getting to see Johnny Martino again. For those that may be as big of a Godfather fan as I am, you may know him better as Paulie. He was also in the 1973 Dilinger as Eddie Martin. Great man!! Loved getting the chance to see him again and meet his beautiful wife.
Training went pretty well this past week. Had a great turn out from the Team. Love when lots of them come it's so much fun catching up from the week and seeing what everyone is doing. Makes those long miles just fly by.
That's about all to report this week from the Run4life camp. Please remember the key to me getting to SanFransisco is meeting my fundraising goal. So please click on that button right over there ------------> Not only will you be helping me meet my goal but you will also be saving lives.
Here is a picture of my Teammate Robyn from the Comic event,
Many people have asked me recently why I chose run4life as my site name? I've heard, you must really like that Melissa Etheridge song. NO! that is not why. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE that song, and I still to this day can not get through listening to it without breaking down. I can relate to every word of that song, and when I feel like I just can';t go another step, I either play the song, or start singing it to myself, and I keep on going.
My reason for it is just that I DO run for life.
I run for my life. Since starting team in training my whole life has changed, not only have I made some of the best friends ever, but I also have a new extended family. a Family of those that I have met and talk to often now, and a family of fellow runner who I have not met who mean the world to me as well. PLUS, I am getting stronger and healthier everyday. I'm starting to finally loose weight, my knees all though they are a constant battle are getting a little better everyday. and most importantly I am still cancer FREE!!!!
I run for all! I could just take the easy way out and pay the registration fee and run these same races that I am doing. It's really not that much, but God spared me for a reason. I strongly believe that one of those reasons is to help in the fight against cancer. It's a horrible disease that has taken too many lives and it's time to put an end to it. So by joining LLS and raising money I am taking a small part in the huge fight against cancer.
I run for Hope! It is my hope that one day we live in a world free of cancer. Till then I will keep on running and I will keep on raising money, and I will keep on fighting. as a new friend on facebook told me today who is also a survivor, NOTHING!! will stop me.
Now take part click that little donate button over there ------> no amount is ever to small.
Stay tuned.
All my love Angi
