Racing to Save Lives



Welcome to my Team In Training home page.



I'm training to participate in The City of Oaks Marathon/Half-Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor my husband Peter (at right with our new puppies Lucy and Whoopie), Skip Hathaway and Mildred Bethea. All three have had stem cell transplants in the past year due to a blood related cancer. They are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

Update 9/6/08

I am halfway there - I have raised to date $2315! Thanks again to all who have donated, and to those who have not it is not too late!



Like I said, I am halfway there - I have met my fundraising goal - now all I have to do is complete the race. I'm not worried about finishing, but I am really slow, so I need to start working on my speed.
