Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I have made it my mission to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I am participating in the Dopey Challenge at Walt Disney World in January 2014 as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) endurance training group Team In Training (TNT). Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
My honored hero, Travis, and his wife Robin, have run the Goofy Challenge at Walt Disney World together for the last few years. In January 2013, I had the privilege to run with them. Travis was diagnosed with Chronic Myelogenous Leukemia (CML) back in 2000. He's a fighter, tho, and has defied many odds, proving the Doctors wrong several times. He and his wife, Robin, are two of the most positive people I've ever met! With 3 young children, they lead very busy lives, but never forget what's really important - family. They take family vacations to Walt Disney World, as well as Travis and Robin getting away just the 2 of them to run the Disney races together. They live each day to the fullest. We *must* find a cure! Go, Team!!
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
