Biking to Save Lives Welcome to Karen & Bob's Team In Training home page. Same Cause; New Challenge! In 2010 we have decided to double our mileage. On July 17th and 18th we will bike a double century to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society in an effort to find a cure for blood cancers in our lifetime. Our 200 mile bike ride will take us from Seattle, Washington to Portland, Oregon with an overnight stay (in a sleeping bag!) at Centralia College. As always, we will be riding in honor of our dear friend David Bathe who lost his 10-year battle with Leukemia in 2003. His children, Drew and Anna, are attending the University of South Carolina. Please consider making a donation to help eradicate blood cancers in our lifetime. This money will go toward Leukemia and Lymphoma research and directly to patients and their families who suffer with these blood cancers. Our personal goal is to raise $7000 by April 30th, 2009.
