**Update** THANK YOU to all who have donated! It was an honor to receive above and beyond my fundraising goal! I have one week left until race day down in Virginia Beach. It's not too late to donate though...my account will stay active for a month beyond my event.
I'm training to participate in the Virginia Beach Rock 'n Roll Half Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. In addition to my team, my sister will be running with me, as well as several of my friends. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers, but particularly for my mom, who successfully beat her battle with multiple myeloma. After witnessing what she and other individuals with blood cancers can endure, I am inspired to work hard, both on the track and in gaining support for this cause. While it is my goal to finish the half marathon in under 2 hrs and 20 minutes (ha! we'll see....), I am more dedicated to contributing money to the LLS for their research and a cure!
