Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page!

What I'm doing: I'm training to participate in a half marathon this June and the Marine Corps Marathon in October as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

Why I chose to support LLS: I am completing this event in memory of my Uncle Tony who lost his battle to acute myeloid leukemia last summer. Following his death, I learned a lot about this horrible disease. Leukemia causes more deaths than any other cancer among children under the age of 20. Lymphomas are the most common blood cancers and incidence increases with age. The survival rate for myeloma is only 37.1 percent.

What you can do:

• Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. You can donate online or send a check payable to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Socitey.
• Reserve your tickets for the Party for a Cure fundraiser: Friday night, May 21 - live band, music & food. Donate at least $25 per person and I will hold a ticket in your name. (Adults only please. )
