Racing to Save Lives
.... and Pinning Down Cancer!
Welcome,
I'm training to participate in The Philadelphia Insurance Triathlon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
I am completing this event in honor of my godmother, who lost her long, hard-fought battle with cancer in the fall of 2008. She was an inspriation to me and whoever she met. This triathlon is going to be nothing more than a mere walk in the park in comparison with what she was put up against.
In addition, I will be racing for of all individuals who are battling blood cancers or have had to endure the battle with cancer. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
