Just as we did last year we will be holding a holiday bazaar at the Lyon Village Community center. A huge thank you to Dawn Wilson at Keller-Williams Realty for sponsoring the event.

I am thrilled that Dawn selected Team In Training as the bazaar charity again this year- on behalf of the amazing vendors we were able to donate over $1000 to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in 2010.

Hello all-

Thanks for continuing to visit my page! I have a great spring season with the TEAM. I started out as a training captain- which entails supplying all of the food for training and generally supporting the Coaches needs. It was such a fun job- I loved discovering new goodies to stock the water stations with!

About 2 months into training I had the AWESOME opportunity to co-Coach with a dear friend Abby Smith. We coached the Zooma Annapolis 10K team! Well lets just say I am hooked. Coaching is even better than running (and a lot less painful)

Well maybe less painful until race day- I was assigned to the bridge in Annapolis and my job was to support the 200 runners we had out on the course. Well like most bridges this one is a hill on both sides and guess what- the participants wanted us to run with them during those inclines. It was such a rush seeing all of our dedicated runners out there - it was a Sea of Purple! I managed to log 10 miles of just doing hill repeats that day.

For the winter season I have decided to be just a participant to run the Philadelphia Marathon on November 21st.

2011 has been a great year- especially since Maggie was declared CANCER-FREE! Despite the amazing news I still feel compelled to raise money for blood cancers, Maggie would not have won her fight without the lifesaving medications she received. Many of her medications are only available through a clinical trial- which requires funding.

I have met so many wonderful people through TNT who have survived lood cancers or are family members and friends of those who are still fighting or who have lost their battle with blood cancers. There are still so many people that need help- which is why I continue to run.

I have had an amazing experience with Team in Training, and hope to continue my journey with them for many years as both a participant and coach.

Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
