Why I'm raising money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society
Feb 17, 2014 by Danielle Kingsbury
Today I did something I've wanted to do for a few years. I signed up to run a half marathon with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. I will be running the Nike Women's Half Marathon in Washington, D.C. on April 27, 2014. I have done six half-marathons before, but this one will be special as I have taken on the goal of not only finishing the race, but also raising $1800 to fight blood cancers over the next two months. This is a cause close to my heart, as my beloved grandfather passed away from leukemia. He was my hero and one of the greatest men that I have ever met. I vowed on that day to do whatever I could to help fight this disease, and I will be running in his memory on April 27th. Please help me accomplish my goal by making a donation of any amount. I greatly appreciate your generosity!

Teams are made up of individuals. Without them, there is no team.
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
