Running for Jay again!

As most of you know, I lost my Dad, December 19, 2012 to MDS after having fought a long battle with Burkitt's Lymphoma and Leukemia. When he was still sick in the hospital, I decided that I would train and run a 1/2 marathon to raise money to help others fight blood cancers. I started running right after he passed, and continued training and finally ran the Nike Women's Half Marathon in April of 2013. With the help of my sister Julian's fundraising skills, and because of many generous donations from friends and family, we raised over $8000. for Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. LLS is working every day to find cures for blood cancers as well as help those that are currently fighting for their lives.
So, this year, my sister is training too, and we are still Running For Jay! I have been training but not focusing on the money yet, so now it's time to kick it into high gear!
I ran 8 miles yesterday and I have a little under a month to meet my goal of raising $2000 for LLS. Please consider making a small (or large) donation to this great cause. :) I will run for you and for your friends and family and for all those that still have a chance to beat cancer! I will run because my Dad can't! He fought long and hard to live and I can do this small thing for him.
Thank you so much! And I'll see you on the trail!

Teams are made up of individuals. Without them, there is no team.
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
