Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

As many of you know, I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. I first started with Team in Training in San Antonio, TX. I did it to prove to myself that I could accomplish something. I happened to learn that it is not about me, it’s not even about the team itself, but about a much greater cause. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I initially heard about this deadly cancer when I was just a kid reading the book titled "Something for Joey," but I never really investigated or paid any mind to it. Well not until I met my friend Bonnie. You see, Bonnie lost her mother to one of these diseases. I couldn't even imagine that happening to me. So I took up the challenge to learn and fundraise for this great cause. What I got out of it and continue to get, is the satisfaction that our efforts will bring us closer to that day when there will be no more people losing their parents, brothers, sisters, and kids to these horrible diseases. There is a lot of wrong in this world today, but the only thing we as humanity can be in accord is that hope exists. Hope is what keeps us going every day. Hope keeps us striving for a better tomorrow. A tomorrow free of deadly diseases. So with hope, I am completing the Nations Triathlon to Benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers and all types of cancers out there. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
