Triathling to Save Lives!
Hello and welcome to my Team In Training home page for my competition in the Nation's Triathlon this September 14th. This race will have me swimming a mile in the Potomac River, biking 25 miles along the Tow Path, and running a 10K around Haines Point. Hopefully I'll come across the finish line with as much "gusto" as I had in this picture (from a mere half marathon)
I'm training to participate in this tri as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure! The minimum fund raising goal for the Nation's Tri is $2,400 but I'm hoping to surpass this and raise more funds to help the fight against blood cancers.
