Hi, my name is Bob Ewing. I'm running the Washington DC Marine Corps Marathon barefoot. I'm running in honor of my mom, who has cancer. I have two goals:
1. Raise $5000 through Team in Training for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
2. Encourage people to join the bone marrow registry

"My mom started running in her 60s and ran her first marathon in her 60s. She wanted to run a marathon for her 70th birthday but got leukemia. Her sister was a stem cell match. She had a bone marrow transplant and is okay today, but the steroids she had to take destroyed her knee and she cannot run any more."
