Racing to Save Lives
Whether you know it or not, we all help make the world a better place each day. When you help someone with their groceries, give a tourist directions, or even put your water bottle in the recycling bin, we become positive contributors in our community.
Inspired by the thousands of others who run to make the world a better place, I am training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. More than 823,000 Americans are battling leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma. My bigger inspiration comes from these fighters, survivors, and those who lost their battle to the disease.
Trust me, the idea of running a full marathon (26.2 miles!) is not only daunting but very scary. But, the hope of finding a cure in the near future is more than enough motivation for me to strengthen my body, mind, and endurance.
I am training with the support of family and friends including six who are running the race and fundraising with me (LEE'S ARMY). I hope I can inspire some of you to make a donation to help accelerate finding a cure for these blood cancers.
Thank you so much for the support and please continue to visit to see my progress!
