Greetings,

I am raising funds for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society (LLS) to help find a cure for cancers of the blood, and to support those who have been diagnosed with the disease and their families. I am training to complete my first triathlon on April 25th 2010 in St. Petersburg, Florida. I have always wanted to complete a triathlon, but I wanted my first one to be significant and for just and noble cause. So two and half years ago, I decided to take up on the challenge. I started a slow but progressive training. With the help of my housemate, I built my bike from scratch with a frame found on the side of the street and other parts bought from craigslist.

I am not writing this e-mail for you to elect me for any office, or to receive praise for this decision, but for you to take action and help me and millions of others save and change lives. I have organized parties and have different events coming for the cause, yet I am falling short from reaching my goal. I am asking for your support and participation by donating to this cause. Consider that you are giving up on the price of chocolate, lunch out with friends or the price of a beer, for the cost of one life.
