Together, there’s no telling what we can do. As a Team, we can combine efforts to save lives.
Pictured above are the members of team Strides for Life, Shay Hutching (left) and Josh Laker (right). We met only a year ago and started running together almost immediately. It did not take long for us to decide to train and run the 2013 Little Rock Marathon for a chance to receive the largest finishers medal for a marathon in the U.S.
As you can see from the picture we were able to finish the marathon in high spirits. On our 14 hour drive back to Wilmington NC, we decided for future races we should run with a higher purpose. After some searching, we found the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society is at the forefront of a lot of research and their Team In Training program has helped fund the development of treatments that have increased the survival rate of children suffering from leukemia. This is our purpose for training and running the Savannah Rock N’ Roll Marathon on November 9, 2013.
However, we need your help in obtaining our team goal, assisting Team In Training in raising funds to help find cures and more effective treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma.
Please make a donation in support of our efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
Some important things to know about your donation:
