Last weekend I realized just what an amazing coach I have helping me through and how incredible my teamates are. Elaine Tarkington has really helped me through this season, giving me the self-confidence I was lacking throughout the training. I'm 4 weeks out from heading to CA for this race, and I feel like I have all the support in the world. And everything she does is as a volunteer for the cause. If she can come out and push me up hills, and make me sprint for a minute at a time at 6:30am, and support me when I've lost my confidence, I can complete this race. I've done 8.7 continuous miles so far and there are more to come! Thank you to everyone who has supported me finacially and emotionally in this endeavor.

Teams are made up of individuals. Without them, there is no team.
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in a sports endurance event as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.
I've made a decision that I'm missing a couple things in my life, which is a drive towards a solid goal, and helping people, which has always been my mission. In an effort to find balance, I've joined Team in Training to not only find purpose and drive for myself, but also to help raise money for research for those who are sick/ill. Please help me achieve my personal goal of completing a half marathon by contributing to my fundraising goal. As always, I know I have the most wonderful friends around, and regardless of the type of donation you provide, monetary or even just encouragement and support, I will be grateful.
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures.
