YOUR CHILD HAS CANCER 

 

 

As a mom, I cannot begin to imagine the sheer terror of hearing those words come out of our doctor’s mouth. Sadly, that was Beth’s reality when her daughter, Zoey, was just 4 years old. Beth is one of the incredibly courageous moms who is part of our team. 

 

 

As a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Moms In Training program, I’ve teamed up with hundreds of moms throughout the Charlotte area, united in the fight against cancer. I am participating in honor of children like Zoey and in memory of too many people touched by cancer. 

 

 

In 1960, if Zoey had been diagnosed with ALL, the most common leukemia, she would have had a 4% chance of survival.  Today, thanks to the research funded by LLS, childhood leukemia now has a 91% survival rate. 

 

 

Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Moms In Training and help get us all closer to a world without cancer.
