Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
Well, the race is over and I had to come back to the frozen tundra in Minnesota. It was an amazing experience and I made it across the finish line in one piece. It took me 3 hours, 19 minutes to go 13. 1 miles. I had to walk more of it than I had hoped, but I felt good and had no major pains. The next day was another story but I recovered better than expected. It was quite a change from running in cold. I arrived on Friday, January 16th and got to enjoy the sunny skies and temps in the low to mid 70's. The race was on Sunday, Jan 18th and it was another beautiful day. We had to get there really early to line up and it was a long morning but it was worth it. If you are looking for a challange, I highly recommend it. This is a picture of me and my friend Gretchen right after the race. We are smiling because we are so happy to be done!!
Thank you once again to all of you who helped me reach my fundraising goal.
