Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

Many of you followed me on my journey to start running last year that ended with the completion of 6 half marathons in 6 months. This year, I've decided that I want my running to make a difference in a life other than my own.

I'm now training to participate in Minneapolis Half Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. I chose Team in Training for a very personal reason. My junior year of college a friend of mine became ill and was ultimately diagnosed with lymphoma. Her name was Megan Dunlap. While Megan fought hard and pursued both proven and experimental treatments, she lost her battle with lymphoma about a year after I graduated.

All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in memory of Megan and in honor of all individuals who are currently battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
