Tiffany Martin’s TNT Fundraiser
I have always liked helping people and have always wanted to do something big for those in need but didn't think I could since I don't have a lot of money. When I received the flyer in the mail for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's endurance program through Team In Training (TNT), I found out I was wrong. I can do a big thing by not just raising money but by also donating my time to build my strength and endurance to run 26.2 miles for blood cancer patients. I have already begun my training and have gone up to 10 miles in one day. The training is the easy part; fundraising is the hard part.
I have a commitment with TNT to raise $1450.00 by April 2nd and another $1450.00 by May 31st for a total of $2900.00(of course, my personal goal is $3500.00). If I do not raise the funds, I cannot do the marathon and TNT's wonderful training on me will be wasted. This is why I need your help because I can't do it alone. So, I am going to make a commitment to my donors so you know I am fully committed to this fundraiser and running a full marathon in San Diego, CA on June 3rd. If you help me reach my first goal by April 2nd, I will dye my hair bright purple. If you help me reach my May 31st goal, I will shave off all of my hair. I want you to know that I am determined to fulfill my commitment to TNT and you. I know April 2nd isn't much time but I know my wonderful supporters can make it happen. The fastest and easiest way is by donating online. Also, you are not just helping me; you are helping the many children, women, and men fighting to win their battle with Leukemia, Lymphoma, Hodgkin's Disease, and Myeloma. Please read my Honor patient's, Kim Shoffner, story below:
Kim was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma on June 25, 2010. January 3, 2011 marked Kim’s FINAL round of chemotherapy and she is now celebrating being cancer-free!
Kim is a loving wife, mother of three and former Realtor. She enjoys swimming, cooking and going to the movies.
Kim joined Team In Training last summer and successfully completed the Waddell & Reed KC Marathon! In addition to cheering on this season’s San Diego team, Kim is excited to announce she will be running the marathon with her team!
Please make a donation in support of my efforts with Team In Training and help advance the research for cures. Thank you!
