Racing to Save Lives!
Thanks for visiting my Team In Training home page.
I'm training to participate in the Philadelphia (Olympic distance) Triathlon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team in Training. Though I have competed in many similar events, this is not just another race for me. My wife, Jen, was recently diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma and is currently undergoing treatment. Research and advances in medicine funded by LLS have played a big role in the successes of fighting this (and other) blood cancers today, but there is much work to be done. Jen will beat this disease, but others aren't so lucky.
All of us on Team in Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am competing in this event not only in honor of Jen, but all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
