Cycling 100 miles in Honor of Jack!
Apr 08, 2013
As you may know, our son, Jack, was diagnosed at age 4 with Acute Lymphoblastic
Leukemia in December 2009. Jack's last day of chemo was February 18, 2013! Today we can call Jack cancer free!
Through cancer research funded by organizations such as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society we are so close finding a cure. Not just for blood cancers, but for all cancers. We have made it our mission to pay it forward and support The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, as they continue to fund cancer research and support patients and their families during treatment.
I have decided to join Team In Training for the Summer 2013 to particpate in the cycle event - America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride in Tahoe on June 2, 2013. My lovely wife, Erin, was very convincing on how I would be helping save lives, honoring our son and having a lot of fun. I will be training and finishing this event in honor of my son, Jack, and for all of the others that are fighting, will fight cancer and those who lost their battle. Together we train to beat cancer.
Thank you for your consideration of a donation of any size. Thoughts and prayers are also welcome as we come to the end of Jack's treatment, and I begin this journey for my first century ride (100 miles).Your donation to LLS through Team in Training is tax deductible.
