Welcome to my Team In Training home page!

I am training to participate in an Olympic Triathlon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Team In Training. This event will entail swimming 1.5K, cycling 40K, and running 10K. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I'm completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!

My honor patient this year is Emilee Ross, of the Kansas City area, who was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia in November 2005 at the tender age of 11. The news came the day before Thanksgiving. Emilee has been in remission since starting chemotherapy a month later, but endured her chemo treatments for nearly a year and a half. It has been a long road for Emilee and her family. She still goes monthly for labs, but will be completely done in March 2013. Emilee is a beautiful young girl who has already battled so much in her young life. By making a contribution, you can help prevent more stories like Emilee's.

The triathlon will take place on June 28, 2009 in Des Moines, IA. My fundraising goal is set at $2700. Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance the Society's mission. Each donation helps accelerate cures for leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma and brings hope to the patients and families who are on the front lines of the battle against these diseases.
