Running To Save Lives

I'm training to participate in a marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this 26 mile marathon in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. Please check out www.TJsJourney.com to read about the young mans journey that inspired me! MARATHON UPDATE: I DID IT! :+) 26.2 MILES!!! What an awesome feeling! 5 hours and 56 minutes of running. This has been such an amazing journey. I have come to find that running is so unique because you experience every kind of human emotion possible on those long journeys. I continue to meet people every day that inspire me more and more. Crossing that finish line was AMAZING! I love all of you for your support and encouragment!!

Inspiration!

When I Put On My Running Shoes!

When I put on my running shoes it's before the day begins. Before I am mommy, sister, wife or friend.

When I put on my running shoes I hear the children say " Mommy why does this medicine make me so sick in the hospital I have to stay?

When I put on my running shoes I hear the souls we've lost. Say keep TRYING keep PUSHING. There is NO greater cost.

When I put on my running shoes it is this prayer I say..... That those men, women, and children will be running with me one day.

When I put on my running shoes won't you put yours on too. Together we have done so much, BUT there is SO MUCH left to do!
