Welcome!

I am planning to run my very first marathon in October while raising funds for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society through the Team In Training (TNT) program. Up to now, I have been neither a runner nor a fundraiser, so I am taking on a true challenge - and I need your support!

Why run with Team In Training? Well, for one thing, I'll be surrounded by coaches and mentors (like our local coach Sue, above) to help me succeed. But more importantly, running with TNT funds and publicizes the necessary work of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I have watched friends and coworkers struggle with blood cancers, which account for nearly 10% of new cancer cases in the U.S. as of 2008. They are not preventable, and treatment remains difficult and life-disrupting. LLS offers hope by providing support programs for patients, funding research toward cures, and working with private industry to accelerate the time to market for new and better therapies. All of us running with Team In Training need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
