WELCOME!!
I joined The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training (TNT) to help raise funds to find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. My goal as an advocate for LLS is to raise $6,000.00.
The decision to help find a cure for cancer was an easy one. The decision to run a marathon to rally others' support was a huge one, especially training during a cold Michigan winter. Because this will be my 2nd marathon with TNT, I know it's a decision I will feel very proud of when I cross that finish line!
I'm now in my 9th week of training and train with others on my long runs every Saturday morning, including two cancer survivors who are truly an inspiration to me. This Saturday, 1/28, we literally ran in a blizzard! See the picture I posted of us below.... Knowing we're working together to help find a cure makes training runs like this Saturday's run all that much more worthwhile and keeps me going!
