Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page.
As a plastic surgeon I have always felt that body enhancement surgery cannot be complete without good health and nutrition. While I have always exercised, I began participating in triathlons 3 years ago. I have seen the Team In Training crew at each of the events that I have participated in. As a physician I am all too familiar with the effects of cancers of the blood and so I decided to join Team In Training last year in order to participate in finding a cure for these devasting diseases.
The training for this event will be difficult, but it pales in comparison to the hardship of each and every patient that suffers from these cancers. Last year I completed the Wildflower Half Ironman Triathlon in California and raised almost $8,000. This year I am at it again, but I will be participating in the Gulf Coast Half Ironman in Panama City, Florida in May 2009.
On behalf of Team in Training please help me raise money to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line – a cure!
In addition, Visage Spa has joined me to help raise funds. They will donate up to 15% of the cost of each service toward the society. You can see their full menu at www.VisageSpa.com.
Thank for so much for your support!
Sincerely,
Michael H. Freedland, M.D.
