Many of you are aware of my New Year's resolution to get in shape after having my second child. I've been documenting my progress on my blog at http://heather20-2012.blogspot.com/. As part of this resolution, I have decided to join Team In Training and participate in the Bayshore Half Marathon (in Traverse City, Michigan) in May 2012!

Team In Training is a Leukemia & Lymphoma Society program that trains people to run/walk marathons and half-marathons while raising money to find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers, such as leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease and meyloma. Being a mother of two children, I want to do everything in my power to help cure these cancers so that my children NEVER have to fear them.

Please help me to elimate these cancers so our future generations don't have to deal with them. With your support, we can also help improve the quality of life for current patients of blood cancers and their families.

PS - This will be my 3rd half-marathon with Team In Training. I have mostly walked both of my past races. I'm keeping realistic and am planning to run/walk this year's race as well. But I am COMMITTED to regularly keeping up with the training this time. NO SLACKING. I also will continue my Heather 2.0 blog and will talk about how my training is going.
