Latest Update on Cooper--well my golden is a hearty, happy old soul. He has had his second round of chemo and is still wagging his tail and going on 1-2 mile walks with me. Such a trooper!

Thanks to everyone for helping me reach my minimum goal for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Every dollar counts to helping ease the suffering of those unfortunate to have to fight this cancer. Peace, Karen

Well on my way to goal, thank you all so much! Just found out our family golden retriever, Cooper, has leukemia. He had his first round of chemo last week and is actually doing really well. No matter how big or small, human or man's best friend, cancer leaves an impact and one I hope we can eradicate or at least cure.

THANK YOU ANONYMOUS DONORS!

Welcome to Karen Caterino's Fundraising home page:

KNITTING FOR A CURE! To jumpstart my fundraising efforts, I will be giving anyone making a suggested $50 minimum donation one of my handknit scarves! It is a source of great pleasure that I can combine my hobby with raising money for a great cause like LLS. If you have a color preference, just let me know. Thanks for the support, GO TEAM!

CANCER SUCKS!

I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m participating in the Nike Women's Half Marathon in D.C. on April 28, 2013 as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.

Please make a donation in support of my efforts with TNT and help advance the research needed to not only find a cure, but identify and prevent the cause of cancer.

THANK YOU SO MUCH! My dad passed away in 2012 from cancer, I have friends who have lost a loved one to this awful disease--LET'S MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

"My mom, Barbara Norman, was the most kind, caring, selfless, wonderful, beautiful woman in the whole wide world. She fought AML for over 2 years. While she was being treated at Hopkins, she was a part of a few trials, and donated anything she could for research. I believe it is part of her that is helping to find the cure. I thank you, Karen, with all my heart, for doing this. You are a beautiful woman!"
