Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training Iron Girl home page!
THANK YOU!!! to everyone who donated. I really was humbled by the enthusiasm and thoughtfulness of all of you who helpd me raise my goal, and then, surpirsingly, even beyond my goal. I am still getting donations, a full week after the race.
Special thanks to my friend who I didn't know was a 10-year survivor, until she made a donation and left me a note.
And, oh, the race. What a blast, and how rewarding to have worked so hard with my Baltimore County teammates - we together raised more than $10,000 for LLS. The entire Maryland team, more than 50 women, raised more than $95,000. Wow. I still can't wrap my head around that.
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I raced Iron Girl in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers and for both my parents, Tom and Margaret Ingram, who both fought cancer. They are all real heroes, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure.
There is still time to make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
