Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page. I completed my first event for TNT in May of 2005. At the time, I wanted to learn how to complete a triathlon and raise money for a good cause. Since then, my relationship with the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has extended to my own family.
In September 2007, my mother was diagnosed with multiple myeloma, an incurable blood cancer. Last August, she underwent a stem cell transplant in the hopes of giving her a remission period from her cancer. I'm happy to report that her numbers look very good and she has a lot more energy. Most importantly, her spirit is lifted and she is happier than I have seen her since the diagnosis.
The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society has been a wonderful organization for my family with everything from education and support groups to even some help offsetting the astronomical costs of living with cancer.
Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to this very worthwhile organization. My fundraising minimum is $3,200.
