Jeff's Running With the Marines UPDATE -- 10/18 -- Just one week to go! I can't believe that the marathon is just one week from today. Time has flown by. There have been some struggles over the past few weeks. Primarily an issue with my left foot that has limited some of my long runs over the past few weeks, but I fully expect to hit the starting line on Sunday. Let the countdown continue! ----------- Friends, Welcome to my Team In Training home page. Last May, I ran the Frederick Marathon to help find a cure for Leukemia and Lymphoma. It was a personal battle not only to finish the race, but to fight these diseases. A year ago, many friends shared their stories of both survival and loss from these dreadful diseases. I am moved by the courage of the survivors and I share the losses with heavy heart. For these friends, I will run again. On October 25, I will run the Marine Corps Marathon in in honor of all individuals who are battling blood cancers. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!. Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. You can donate by credit card by using the links on the right or mail a check, made out to "LLS" to me at 9328 Dunloggin Rd; Ellicott City, MD 21042. I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress and please also see my blog at http://formerlyfatrunningguy.blogspot.com for more updates. Thanks for your support! |
