Maryland Chapter TNT Team before the Marine Corps Marathon Thanks for helping me raise over $4,000 by my 40th Birthday! On Sunday October 25th I completed the Marine Corps Marathon in 4:12:24, erasing all those bad memories from 2006 when I had to drop out of this race with my stress fracture. Better still, thanks to the help of all of the folks to the right, I exceeded my fundrasing goal of $4,000 and was part of a national TNT contingent that raised over $1,400,000 at this single event! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! I can still receive donations for another 2 months. If you like you can still make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. If you prefer to make a contribution via check you can make it payable to "LLS" and mail it to my attention at: 6125 Watch Chain Way, Columbia, MD 21044. As someone who has lost their mother to lymphoma, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support. Together we can beat this disease one mile at a time. AUGUST 2009 Update - Thanks to the incredible generosity of the folks listed to the right, I am now almost two-thirds of the way to my goal! Training has been very well despite the heat and humidity the past few weeks. I am up to 16 miles in my long runs at this point and I will be doing two 20 milers and one 22 miler in September if all goes to plan. OCTOBER 2009 Update - I am truly humbled at the support I have received this season. Everyone listed to the right is truly a hero in the battle against cancer. THANK YOU all so much for helping me exceed my goal. This past weekend I completed my 22 mile training run which went amazingly well. All that is left now is to taper properly for the next three weeks and then let the magic happen on October 25th! Go TEAM! GO TEAM! |
