The Final Countdown

Two more weeks! I am excited and nervous. Many of you have been cheering me on. I've also shared with a number of folks how much I have been struggling with swimming. At our first open water swim, I could only do half of the workout. That was a month ago. Jessica (she is the one on the far right in the photos), one of our coaches, keeps telling me that I can do it. I can do it. It is going to take me a long time. And I will do my best to finish. The important thing is that I've even started.

Help me help Leukemia and Lymphoma Society finish what they have started. Their goal is to make every type of blood cancer curable or at least maneagble by 2015. That is a big goal and an important one. All of us will be touched by these kinds of cancer at least once. Each of us will have a friend or loved one who will have to live with leukemia or lymphoma. You can be part of the team of researchers, medical professionals, support staff, runners, hikers, swimmers and cyclists, family members and friends who will win this fight. You can help me raise $300 dollars more by Wednesday.

Swim, run, and cycle with me in honor of those children and adults who have lived courageously and are doing so now.
