Racing to Save Lives
I'm training to participate in an endurance event as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training.
This year I celebrate my 5th anniversary free of cancer. This without a doubt was one of the most life changing events in my life. Chelsea was 10 and Mikey was 2 when we heard the devastating news. In fact I am the lucky one, because of past generous donations it made a difference in my life and gave my kids a second chance with their mother. For families whose lives have been devastated by cancer, hoping and praying is not enough. That is why I am raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I truly feel this is my opportunity to make a difference in the lives of people affected by leukemia, lymphoma and blood cancers, so on October 11th I will be running a half marathon (13.1 miles) with Team In Training to celebrate my 5th anniversary and to raise money.
Many of you know someone whose life has been touched with cancer and I myself have many freinds who have fought the battle and some have lost. Together, your funds and my race to the finish line can help prevent 57,000 Americans who die each year as a result of cancer. I know you have many other casues that you can donate too but I hope that you will consider supporting my casue. A "Tax Deductable" donation of any amount is greatly appreciated.
