Sam's Team is Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to our Team's Team In Training home page. Betsy, Art and Pat are joining forces to help cure blood cancers. We have set a lofty goal of over $10,000 for our Alaska event in June, so we deeply appreciate your help in reaching and exceding our goal

We are training to participate in the Alaska marathon and half marathon as members of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.

2010 marks the 5th anniversary of Sam's death from acute lymphocytic leukemia (ALL). Amazingly, our Alaska race will be run on June 19, 2010 -- the date that would have marked Sam's 25th birthday. We miss Sam's presence in our lives and will use this event to honor our wonderful memories of Sam. Please join us in this remembrance and celebration of his life.

Please make a donation to support our team's participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission. While there have been great strides made in fighting blood cancers in pediatric patients, ALL still claims almost half of all young adults like Sam. We need to find the cure now.
