Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to my Team In Training home page.

I'm training as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training (TNT) and will compete in the 27th El Tour de Tucson Century Ride (109 miles) on November 21, 2009.

As many of you know, I am riding for one of my dearest friend's mom, Joan Dunn (pictured below), because she is currently battling Leukemia. Joan jis entering her third round of chemotherapy. [Riding 109 miles seems completely insignificant when you compare it to Joan's battle with cancer over the last several years.] I visit Joan at least once a week, so I can see that it's still a daily battle and the disease can be unkind some days.

It's all about HOPE.

As a team, we will train for the next six months with a coach and all of us on TNT are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
