Racing to Save Lives

Welcome to Ben and Katie's Team In Training home page.

We're embarking on a mission! Together we will run the P.F. Chang's 1/2 marathon in honor of our friend Larry Maxick (as seen above), who passed away this past August after battling non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. Larry served as a great inspiration to us, a man who walked through life wearing a brilliant smile, giving himself to those he loved.

In remembrance of Larry we will be training for our 1/2 marathon with The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training.

We are inviting our friends and families to partner with us in raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. To date there are over 50 different types of blood cancers, affecting roughly 145,000 new individuals and their families annually. So, it stands to reason that you too may have been touched by blood cancers in some way. We will be running to commemorate Larry, but by partnering with us you honor the life of your friend or family member touched by Lymphoma/Leukemia. Let's work together to find a cure!
