On April 28, 2013 I will be running the Nike Half Marathon in support of LLS, which is a wonderful charity. I have a mission-to help find cures and more effective treatments for blood cancers. To accomplish that mission, I’m running 13.1 miles as a member of The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) Team In Training. Like the other members of TNT, I will be raising funds to help find cures and better treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease and myeloma. I’m improving the quality of my life by participating and with your support, I can help improve the quality of life for patients and their families as well.

Lots of people ask me how to get a bite of my sweet stuff since I put “Eat Your Plate” out of business. My answer use to be: “Sorry, that’s just the way it goes.” but lately, in anticipation of my half marathon my response has changed to: “Give my cause money, I will bake you anything you want.” And, so far, it has worked, raising almost $600.00 through the allure of baked goods. So, here before you is my version of a donation only bake shop. You donate to LLS (Lymphoma & Leukemia Society, a non-profit that works to eliminate these terrible diseases), I will run 13.1 miles during the Nike Half Marathon in Washington D.C. and you get to stuff your face with amazing treats that are locally made, organic and delicious.
