Race weekend has come and gone and was an absolute blur! It was an amazing time spent with an amazing group of people. Team in Training had 2,300 participants and collectively we raised $6 million for cancer research through this single event. We heard stories from runners and honored heroes about how the research done by LLS and funded by TNT participants saved their lives! It is unbelievable to know that my fundraising efforts which were fueled by your generous donations is actually making a difference in the lives of those battling cancer!! What an incredible event, the course was beautiful, the weather was perfect, and I crossed the finish line!

Again, I couldn't have done it without all of you, so thank you!

Race Bib Decorations in Progress! Need to add my name as well as the names of the honored heroes that you made your donations in memory of. Thinking ribbons with their names on it, but am open to suggestions!

There are only 9 days left until race day!! How is that even possible!?!? I am getting incredibly nervous and excited as we start to go over team plans for the race weekend.

Our team is so incredible! In addition to each running in memory of our own loved ones, our team is going to be wearing blue and yellow ribbons as a show of support and solidarity for all of those impacted by Monday's terrible events. Many of our team members were there on Monday supporting other members of our TNT family who were running the Boston Marathon.

We are even more determined to cross that finish line next Sunday, not only for ourselves and in honory/memory of loved ones who have battled or are still battling blood cancer, but now also for those who were injured while cheering on family and friends, and for those who trained so hard and weren't able to cross the finish line this past Monday!

For those who may not have done so yet, there is still time to donate. Our team is so close to reaching our team goal of $145,000 for this race. Any amount that you are able to give helps us to reach that goal!

The Nike DC Women's Half Marathon is exactly ONE month away! I am incredibly excited (and nervous) for race day. Thank you to all those who have already donated!
