Racing to Save Lives
Hi Friends!
I'm training to participate in the Nike Women's Half Marathon in San Francisco as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives.
I am running this event in honor of all the individuals battling blood cancers. I really believe that we can not only support those affected, but also find a cure. Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
I hope you will visit my web site often. Be sure to check back frequently to see my progress.
7.13.09 - since when does 3 miles feel "easyish" to me?!? I went for a 3 mile run on Saturday, and realized that it didn't feel half bad. Of course, i'm still doin' a lil of the walk/run combination, but def less than when i started. I think my snazzy new sneakers & wicked cute gear are helping ;)
I'm learning that my abs hurt at the end of a long run more than my legs! That caught me off guard! But, of course, no soreness I experience will ever compare to those getting chemo & fighting cancer.
thank you to all who donated so far! I really appreciate your support <3
