Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to my Team In Training home page!
On June 5th I took part in the Mooseman Triathlon in Bristol, NH to raise money and awareness for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. After 2 hours of waiting out the crazy rain and lightning in the vendor tents, they decided to cancel the entire swim leg for safety reasons, as well as cut off 10 miles of the bike ride. I suppose I'm ready for anything now that my triathlon career started with such a bang! I'll be doing the Hyannis Sprint Triathlon this weekend with other teammates. Here's to hoping crazy New England weather will be a bit more cooperative!
All of us on Team In Training are raising funds to help prevent leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. I am completing this event in honor of all individuals who are battling cancer. These people are the real heroes on our team, and we need your support to cross the ultimate finish line - a cure!
Thank you all for helping me to surpass my fundraising goal-I could not have done this without your support and encouragement!
