Racing to Save Lives
Welcome to Ms. Rachel's Team In Training home page.
I'm training to participate in the Adidas Dublin Marathon as a member of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Team In Training. That's right, Dublin. Home of Yeats, Bono and Guinness— two fans of a run-on and a runner's aid. ;-)
Team In Training raises funds to help stop leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's lymphoma and myeloma from taking more lives. Last year I ran the Big Lake Half Marathon to raise funds for the cause and the experience was so rewarding I had to up the stakes a bit. So here we go— twice the distance, twice the monetary goal (and one big ol' ocean to cross).
These challenges are amazing— I learn a lot about myself and my limitations, but the best part is really making a difference by raising money to find a cure for blood cancers. Please make a donation to support my participation in Team In Training and help advance LLS's mission.
