Together, there’s no telling what we can do. As a Team, we can combine efforts to save lives.
Throughout different cities and towns people are coming together to create separate teams to participate in a sports endurance event all with one common goal to honor and benefit all individuals battling blood cancers. Members of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team In Training are creating teams, large and small, that will be participating in sports events across the country.
This year, Adam and Ashley, will be training and fundraising in anticipation of the 2014 Boston Marathon. We first became involved in Team in Training last year, when Ashley joined the team to run the 2013 Boston Marathon, in honor of one her students (Mark) who was battling Leukemia at the time. Adam helped the team as a volunteer last year, and this year is making the plunge and running the marathon as well (and he is thoroughly terrified about it!).
