"The making of a marathon take Two"
I am so thankful for all the support I received from friends, family and new friends who I have yet to meet that allowed me to fulfill my lifelong dream to successfully complete the Boston marathon 2012.
Over the last several months many friends have asked, "Was my dream to run the marathon all I thought it would be" and "will I run another marathon"? The answer was yes; the dream fulfilled was so much more than expected. However, would I do it again, was not a quick answer. It is not just about running many many miles in the cold, wet, windy, harsh New England winter. A working mom, running a marathon takes a commitment from the entire family and friends don't see me as much as social calendar is replaced with recovery ice baths and fueling up on protein after long work outs. However, after long discussion with family and friends, I am back and committed myself 110% to Leukemia and Lymphoma society for the Boston marathon 2013.
The reason for take number two was that I truly believe the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society is changing people’s lives and offers hope for those who have cancer. If my running, no matter how fast or how slow, can make a difference in someone's life then it would be selfish for me not to run again.
So, with that I hope you will join team Sarah Jane in the race of 26.2 miles to help find a cure for blood cancer. You donation means so much to me and all the cancer survivors, fighters and the families of those taken too soon.
Thanks for you support.
