Welcome to my Team In Training home page!

Last year, somewhat on a whim, I decided to run the 2012 Boston Marathon with one of my best friends Steve(the dashing guy to my left in the picture above). We trained through the winter, braved the heat of race day and had a truly amazing experience.

While at the end of the race I was not necessarily thinking of running another marathon (see my picture above), later that week I knew that I would do it again. I also knew that I wanted to run with a team for my next marathon as the benefits of training with others would be huge. Ever since I saw a flyer on the T, Team In Training had been on my mind, so I figured now would be my time to join!

At the time I was not really thinking that I had any direct connection to their cause until I remembered that when I first got to know Steve, he was just coming out of treatment for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Steve is one of the strongest people I have ever met and has handled the disease with such poise, that often it is easy to forget that he was ever affected by the cancer. Today Steve has been in remission for three years and is healthier than ever!

So while Steve won't be on training runs with me this year, I will be thinking of him and how strong he is!
