I'm running Boston Marathon and I've mentored for a number of years for Team in Training. In that time I've come to understand two important things:

1) That cancer is real: it can devastate lives, afflict parents, children and loved ones. I've seen people speak about losing people and I've seen people speak about how new treatments have saved those they love. Maybe you've experienced this, spoken to the people, fought against cancer. Maybe you can imagine how terrible it must be. But it is real.

2) That there is hope and you can help: The cure rate for children with Leukemia was once 10%. Now it's more like 90%. That's an astonishing change, a way that the world has gotten so much better for so many people. That's lives saved. Your donation to the Leukemia Lymphoma society helps fund that research.

So please help: support me or some other Team in Training runner. Or sign up and run a marathon yourself, raise money for the society!
